Included in price
• Fresh Organic farm eggs (4 per stay)
• Tea
• Grand Coffee SF (decaf and regular)
• Drinkable tap water
• Firewood (unlimited)
• Firestarter (2 per stay)
• Kindling (a bunch)
– Additional items may be available for purchase at our farm stand at the entrance of the property when stocked.
– Regarding the unlimited wood we provide with each booking. All of the wood comes directly from our land. While it takes a substantial amount of investment to collect it, cut it into rounds, and split it, we choose not to purchase firewood. We prefer to use what naturally falls from the trees rather than buying processed wood and adding additional pressure on the planet. Because of this, the wood can sometimes be a bit damp—especially after a huge storm that’s also why we include plenty of kindling and two large fire starters at no extra cost with every reservation, to make lighting a fire easier and more enjoyable. Guests are, of course, welcome to bring their own firewood as well.
*Rates shown are based on single or double occupancy. Each additional guest is $35 per person, per night. (Adults 21+ with children 1+, minimum of 1 adult per tent)
Bathhouses
Outdoor bathhouses are located a short walk from the tents and include indoor hot showers, well-appointed restrooms, fresh towels, and bath amenities. Hot water is shared and limited, so we kindly ask guests to use it thoughtfully and help keep the space tidy.
Shared Spaces & Amenities
Guests have access to a picnic and BBQ area (charcoal available for purchase), a hammock and swing, and “The Lookout,” where evening campfires may be offered upon request and weather permitting. For safety reasons, fires are only allowed in designated areas and managed by hosts.
Additional amenities include a Level 2 EV charger ($5/hour, subject to availability), Starlink Wi-Fi, board games, books, binoculars, a radio, and a selection of small comfort items. A first aid kit is provided in each tent.
The Farm
Fancy Camp shares the property with our small working farm, so you’re guaranteed to meet a few of our residents during your stay. You may also see us tending to the land and animals throughout the day—we always try to do so respectfully and as discreetly as possible. Messy & Salma, two of our dogs, keep watch over the chickens and goats. If you hear them barking at night, they’re simply doing their job protecting the land and its animals. Our chickens also get an early start, so they may occasionally provide your natural morning alarm. Our friendly goats roam the property during the day and may wander over for pets and nuzzles. They’re gentle and curious, but please don’t feed them or invite them inside your tent. The same goes for our cats and other dogs, no matter how convincing they may be! If you ever need assistance with any of the animals, please reach out to us before 8:00 pm.
Location, Access & Activities
Kings Mountain is known for its exceptional hiking and biking trails among the redwoods. The Purisima Open Space trail network is a ten-minute walk from the property, with many others reachable by a short drive. We recommend bringing warm layers, hiking shoes, and easy-to-prepare food.
PARKING AND ACCESS TO TENT: Each tent includes one designated parking space. Parking is a scenic 6-minute downhill walk to camp (with a steep uphill return), so packing light is advised.
Check-In & Host Availability
Check-in window is between 3.00 and 7.00 pm (Message us to arrange a later check-in) and is done in person, with a walkthrough to help you settle in comfortably. One of your two hosts will meet you at the parking lot upon arrival. Hosts are available daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Please note that in-tent service and on-demand assistance are not provided.
Optional Experiences
Enhance your stay with optional experiences such as guided hikes, mountain bike rental, a homemade meal, and a cedar wood hot tub soak. Most of each fee supports local providers within our mountain community. Booking is recommended, and we’re happy to help you choose what best suits your stay.
